The pose of total relaxation – making it one of the most challenging but also one of the most beneficial asana.
Start on your back. Lengthen your spine, tuck your shoulder blades in, rest the back of your head. Feel your shoulders melt down and away from your heart center. Soften the belly, allowing the breath to roll in and out with ease. Let go of the hips and have the feet sway out naturally to the sides. Once the body feels heavy, start to soften the eyes and eyebrow, swallow to release the tongue, relax the jaw and the inner ears. Feel your entire body sink beneath the surface. Total Bliss.
