** Don’t miss our Chaturanga workshop Saturday, September 8th 11:30am – 12:45pm (Free for ongoing unlimited members – Register in studio!)
Start in plank pose with your wrists beneath your shoulders. Push into the balls of your feet and press your soles back, as if into a wall behind you.
Reach your heart forward, creating a straight line of energy from the crown of your head through your tailbone and out your feet.
Draw your shoulders back, spin your inner thighs upward, and pull your belly in and up.
Bend your elbows, keeping them drawn in against your sides. Slowly lower yourself toward the floor, keeping your body as straight as a plank of wood, neither letting your center sag nor sticking your bum up in the air.
Continue to lower until your shoulders are at the same height as your elbows.
Pause here and breathe until you continue to flow through upward dog.
