Yoga Nidrā

Join Lesley on Saturday, February 15 at 4PM for a 75 minute Yoga Nidrā class.

This class opens with some gentle movement, followed by a yoga nidrā meditation.

Yoga nidrā is an ancient meditation technique where you are guided to a deep state of conscious relaxation, moving awareness from the external world to the internal. It's practiced lying down, using blankets, bolsters and other props to create a cozy rest nest.

This class is perfect for beginners as the movements are slow and mindful and there’s nothing to do in yoga nidrā but listen, and rest.

Pose for a Purpose

Join Jackie Vandertuin for Poses with a Purpose, a yoga class supporting the Compass Run for Food, which raises funds for food banks and food insecurity initiatives in Dufferin County. This gentle flow class provides stillness through motion and breath..

Food Insecurity in Ontario

In 2023, 24.5% of households in Ontario experienced food insecurity—a 7% increase since 2019. Locally, the Orangeville Food Bank and Dufferin Food Share in Grand Valley reported a 37% rise in demand. Increasing inflation and living costs have left many struggling to afford necessities. Food insecurity doesn't discriminate. Alarmingly, 1 in 6 children in Canada goes hungry, as school nutrition programs face growing challenges.



Wellness Wednesday
